Overview
Benjamin Cardozo has an excellent Fine Arts Program and offers a variety of Art Courses. Students must first successfully complete the Introductory Art Course before advancing to more specialized courses. This year the Alliance for Young Artists and Writers has honored our students and their teachers for having the most Art award winners in the NYC Regional. Our students' work has been displayed at the Brooklyn Museum, Nassau County Museum of Art, the Chancellor's office, and many other exhibit areas.
Art Education Department Goals
Writing Standards - Improve students writing and grammar skills.
Report Cards - Increase student passing rate in all grades/subjects.
Attendance - Improve student attendance and decrease cutting.
Classroom Management - Create positive classroom strategies to differentiate instruction and promote scholarship.
Diplomas - Improve Regents/RCT scores for students to earn Regents and/or local diplomas.
