| According to Citywide Standards of Disciplinary and
Intervention Measures, plagiarism is deliberately
appropriating another’s work and using it as one’s own for
credit without the required citation and attribution.
In the case of deliberate, proven plagiarism students will be
given twenty-four hours to confess their plagiarism, after
being notified by the teacher. Once an admission is made,
the parents of the involved student must be notified.
Students will not be given an opportunity to do the paper
over.
If a confession is not forthcoming, the parents will be asked
to attend a conference with the department Assistant
Principal, and the teacher. The student will not be given an
opportunity to do the paper over; the incident will be noted
on the student’s records in both the Dean’s Office, and the
College Office. |
