April 1, 2008 Dear Parents: Lot's coming up in the next few weeks - see below for some of what's happening at Cardozo in April. PARENTS, HELP CARDOZO MAINTAIN ITS EXCELLENCE! OUR STUDENTS NEED YOU TO VOLUNTEER WHAT TIME YOU CAN & DONATE WHAT AMOUNT YOU CAN! Our COLLEGE OFFICE is so GOOD only because the PA FULLY FUNDS the office and PARENTS VOLUNTEER their time. Last year, Cardozo graduates were accepted at every single Ivy League School, and, with your help, we hope to do better for each year’s seniors – including yours! School budgets citiwide have been cut twice in the last month or so - Cardozo will have to make cuts and we all can help. We are having RAFFLE DRAWINGS ON APRIL 3RD AND 4TH (PARENT-TEACHER CONFERENCES). Please be generous for your students! PARENTS, KEEP INFORMED & ASK QUESTIONS! Come to our monthly PA meetings and you will not only find out about programs, developments, requirements and opportunities - that your teenager may have forgotten to tell you about! - you will also have the opportunity to talk with Principal Hallman, Parent Coordinator Eileen Amato, guest speakers and members of the PA Board. HIGHLIGHTS OF EVENTS FOR APRIL: Wednesday, April 2 - PA Meeting, 7:30pm Thursday, April 3 - (1) International Food Fest, 5-6pm & (2) Parent-Teacher Conferences, 6:30-9pm: WITH A RAFFLE FOR SOME GREAT SPORTS & OTHER PRIZES!! Friday, April 4 - (1) Half day of classes & (2) Parent-Teacher Conferences, 1-3pm - WITH A RAFFLE FOR SOME GREAT SPORTS & OTHER PRIZES!! Saturday, April 5 - Princeton Review's SAT Assessment test (8:30am) Tuesday, April 15 - Guidance Night Monday, April 21 to Friday, April 25th - Spring Recess (no classes) Please continue to help us help Cardozo!
